Welcome to SMCAA Youth Basketball

San Marino Basketball league is part of an effort to further and promote the development of youth amateur sports in our community. Our league will promote good sportsmanship and good citizenship, and teach all participants the fundamental skills necessary to enhance participation in basketball as the athlete matures. The league will focus on providing high quality instruction to players in a setting that fosters community involvement and fun with friends.
o          The league is for boys and girls that reside within the boundaries of the San Marino School District or who attend San Marino Schools. This league is for those boys and girls entering the 3rd through 8th grade  for the 2010/2011 school year.

o
Basketball will begin in November and end in early March. We will have a break for the Holidays. The season will have minimal overlap with SM National Little league or AYSO soccer.

o
There will be one practice during the week and Saturday/Sunday games at the San Marino gyms.

o
The players will learn important fundamental age appropriate skills, such as defense, dribbling, shooting, court position/movement, and rebounding.

o
We will have structured teaching clinics for boys and girls that give additional instruction in a fun and challenging setting.

o
Coaches will be given outstanding clinics, instruction, and resources to promote excellence in fundamental skill development for the program participants.

o
Volunteering is an essential part of our league to promote inclusion and to make it all work!

o
Your entry fee covers the cost of instruction, facilities, pro-replica jerseys, and referee costs.

o
We will have optional opportunities for tournament (travel) team participation after the regular season for both boys and girls.
